Analyst
Analyst – Project Finance / Greenfield Infrastructure
Sector Focus: Infrastructure (Greenfield)
Location: We are hiring multiple roles across Sydney and Melbourne
We are seeking an Analyst to join a high-performing infrastructure advisory team, providing the opportunity to work directly on project finance, and greenfield infrastructure transactions. This role involves close collaboration with senior leadership and external stakeholders, supporting commercial, financial, and strategic decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for developing and maintaining project finance models, including cashflow waterfalls, financier covenants, tax and accounting structures, and sensitivity analyses.
- Ensure financial models support investment approvals, credit committee submissions, and commercial structuring decisions, including delay scenarios.
- Lead financier due diligence workstreams as experience grows, covering tax, accounting, technical, and insurance matters, and liaise with due diligence providers and financiers.
- Align financial models with project and finance documentation, taking ownership of specific components of these documents.
- Develop and test commercial and financing structures, produce worksheets, presentations, and memos for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Manage SPV internal and external project budgets.
- Contribute to future bid preparation, including budgeting, consortium formation, research on construction and investment markets, and soft-sounding financiers for upcoming tenders.
- Support ongoing projects in finance-related matters and provide ad-hoc financial models, presentations, and analyses for business development initiatives.
People & Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively within the team and support the development of junior team members.
- Develop relationships with consultants, financiers, partners, and other external stakeholders engaged in the bid or project process.
What We're Looking For:
- 1–5 years’ experience in project finance, investment banking, infrastructure advisory, or transaction advisory.
- Strong financial modelling skills, including cashflow and project financing models, sensitivity analysis, and scenario testing.
- Experience liaising with financiers, investors, and external consultants.
- Excellent analytical, commercial, and communication skills.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
