Our client is data centre business with assets and teams across North America and APAC. They specialise in creating sustainable, energy-efficient infrastructure to support the growing demand for data and AI. Artificial data centres is a key growth initiative, with an existing operational high growth AI division and a pipeline to ramp this up significantly. This role covers all parts of driving the success of this division from strategy decisions underpinned by corporate finance style analysis, through to direct customer deal/negotiations.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Assisting to set the AI data centre strategy based on corporate finance style analysis.
  • Deal Structuring & Execution: Collaborate with senior leadership to structure, negotiate, and execute complex AI data centre deals (legals, term sheets etc).
  • Customer Engagement: Work directly with global customers to understand their needs, propose solutions, and drive projects from initial engagement to execution.
  • Financial Modelling & Analysis: Develop and analyse financial models, pricing strategies, debt/equity funding and ROI targets for CAPEX-heavy projects to support the AI division’s objectives.
  • Project Coordination: Manage cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects, including working closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams on technical specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Market Opportunity: Assist in identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities within the rapidly expanding AI infrastructure market.
  • Travel & Networking: Be a key staff member in networking into and driving discussions with customers, and some occasional travel to North America. Travel will only be occasional and likely to the US.
  • End-to End Deal Management: Support all stages of the deal lifecycle, from initial customer discussions, oversight of some parts of the client diligence process, MOUs, to full project delivery (from a financial performance perspective).
  • Strategic Support: Provide commercial insights and recommendations to senior leadership on how to optimise the growth of the AI business unit.

Qualifications -

  • 8-12 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, infrastructure fund, management consulting – ideally with infrastructure, renewables, power & utilities or data centres exposure.
  • Strong financial modelling, deal execution, and analytical skills.
  • Experience engaging with high-level stakeholders, including global technology clients, hyperscalers, or infrastructure players.
  • Experience in CAPEX-heavy projects or infrastructure-related industries is highly advantageous.
